“If you’re thinking about undergraduate studies in Liberal Arts and postgraduate studies in Religious Education, there’s still plenty of time to submit your application for our semester one intake.”
President of Campion College, Dr Paul Morrisey, outlined this assurance in a video message published on the institution’s social media channels.
In his address, Dr Morrissey reassured prospective undergraduate and graduate students that there is still time for them to consider enrolling in Campion. Read on to glean the matters highlighted in his message.
Undergraduate studies
Campion was among the first institutions to resume face-to-face learning in August 2020, and we remain committed to it. Therefore, our Toongabbie campus in Western Sydney will continue to host all of our undergraduate Liberal Arts degree lectures.
“Being part of a community of learning is a hallmark of a liberal arts education. For this reason, we will continue to prioritise face-to-face learning for as long as pandemic restrictions allow us to. Fortunately, our emphasis on smaller lectures and tutorials place us in a much better position to remain on campus and adapt quickly compared to much larger institutions.” said Dr Morrissey.
To maintain a safe learning environment, Campion will continue to observe the safety guidelines outline by the state government. Hence everyone on campus will be expected to adhere to social distancing and heightened hygiene measures.
As for student and residential life, Campion’s Student Association Executive and Student Life Officer have put every effort into planning an exceptional O-week schedule, followed by a wide array of residential and student life events throughout the semester. Taking the two together provides a compelling demonstration that learning at Campion will be back to optimum levels.
There has also been increased demand for on-campus housing among both new and returning students, thus painting a picture of our community’s appeal.
“We want our students to get the most of their Campion experience. Ensuring that students have a range of opportunities to thrive both inside and outside the classroom is essential.” Dr Morrissey said of this occurrence.
Financial support
Campion offers a variety of programs that have been established to provide students from differing educational backgrounds a chance to get into the College. You may read through it to find your best fit before submitting your application.
“If the pandemic has affected your previous studies or financial situation, please do not hesitate to get in touch to discuss how we can support you through the admission process and throughout your time at Campion.”
We want to make our students feel comfortable and less worried about any current financial concerns. This desire is why we offer many scholarships and bursaries to reduce the cost of tuition & accommodation for those who have good grades.
Campion has an Education Access Scheme that could get high school leavers up to five points on their ATAR adjustment. There is also an offer of consideration for Provisional Enrolment to anyone with an ATAR below 65.00.
Postgraduate courses
Campion has received positive reviews of the content and delivery from primary school teachers enrolled in the program.
The Graduate Certificate of Religious Education (Primary) offers two-year, part-time instruction in four mandatory units. We then teach each unit through a series of hour-long weekly tutorials to facilitate a more manageable balance between their education and occupation.
“We’ve also received great feedback on the practical nature of the course content. It has been so great to hear about how our students are applying their learnings in their classrooms the very next day.”
