What is PM KISAN?

PM Kisan is a central sector program that provides full funding from the central government for marginal and small farmers. It came into effect on December 1, 2018. It provides Rs. 6,000 per annum in three installments to farmers’ lands.

Farm families will be identified as support farmers through the assistance of the state government and the UT administration. The beneficiaries will receive the funds directly into their bank accounts. This definition of family includes the spouse, minor children, and husband.

PM KISAN eligibility criteria

Pradhan Mantri Samman Nidhi, (PMKISAN), provides annual cash transfers to beneficiaries in three phases. The first phase runs from April through July. The second is between August and November. The third is between December and March.
