Hemp is a plant. It is a species of plant similar to cannabis. But unlike Cannabis, hemp has very low tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) levels, which are less than 0.3%. It is legal to sell cannabis and cannabis products in the US. Hemp flowers, leaves, seeds, seed oil, and protein are used as food and / or medicine.
Hemp is used for constipation, high cholesterol, eczema (atopic dermatitis), arthritis and other conditions, but there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses.
Hemp is used to make textiles, cosmetics, rope, printer’s ink, wood preservatives, detergents, soaps and light oils.
Do not confuse Hemp with Canadian Hemp, Hemp cultivation, cannabis, or cannabidiol (CBD).

There is not enough reliable information to know whether cannabis oil made from hemp flowers, hemp leaves, or flower or leaf is safe or what the side effects may be.
Special precautions and warnings
Pregnancy and breast-feeding: There is not enough reliable information to know if Hemp is safe to use when pregnant or breastfeeding. Stay on the safe side and avoid use.
